Let me start by saying that we should never forget our history. When we were attacked on 9/11/2001, I understood the need to go after OBL & his co-conspirators and supported the AUMF (joint resolution). When President Bush took a U-turn and went into Iraq when Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, I questioned that action at the time. Going in there was a big mistake. Our armed forces should not be intruding in the Middle East. Return our troops home. Regarding military assistance to Allies, only exceptions should be authorized by Congress. When Hitler ordered genocide, when the German War Machine pulverized Europe, when we were attacked at Pearl Harbor, we had to act. WWII was necessary at many levels and approved by the U.S. Congress (We, the People). At this time in our history, we cannot stop all civil wars in the Middle East or other disputes around the world. The U.S. should not keep trying to fix the troubles around the planet while not losing our empathy. The unauthorized war in Iran by DJT has been a disaster. Get out of there and mind our own business. We are a great Country. Return our troops home! As a Libertarian, I oppose acts of aggression while supporting the maintenance of a sufficient military to defend the United States.

Washington insiders feel entitled to tax-payer money. We, the people, seek to ‘Secure the Blessings of Liberty’ and demand a Balanced Budget. Prior to the Coronavirus, the spending led by both the House & Senate was adding $3-$5 Billion of debt per day! When I ran for Congress in 2020 as a Libertarian, the national debt was an awful $28 Trillion. Now, thanks to both the Republicans and Democrats, the U.S. (we the people) has over $40 Trillion in debt! This is unsustainable as the value of our U.S. dollar is weakening. It’s simple math. Yes, some tax is necessary for our National Defense, for society to function and preserve the free market . However, if the R & D’s in Congress continue spending more taxpayer money than the revenue received, our country will be headed toward bankruptcy. To say the least, the value of the U.S. dollar will fall. Both the Democrats and Republicans are responsible for this outrageous debt that has been climbing over the past 25 years. The people have the right to pursue other assets if they so choose. Voting Libertarian will put a halt to the madness and reverse the trend. It’s simple math. If elected, I will also encourage my Fellow Legislators to move toward a Sales Tax or FAIR Tax model and eliminate the IRS (see copy of the ‘Hudson Resolution to Abolish the IRS’ in photo gallery.).

Congress is disconnected from the reality of Hoosiers. In, 2020, I supported the MORE Act (legalization of marijuana) and the use of cannabis products. Although Indiana NORML does not do endorsements anymore, I am honored to have previously received their endorsement. I think the old laws criminalizing personal use of marijuana (a plant) should be reversed, and people should have their criminal record expunged for small amounts of personal possession (See my 12/16/25 commentary on my roll it Back Page). Most states in our Union have legalized cannabis products for good reason, but Indiana is behind on common sense legislation. If elected to Congress, I will continue to encourage the U.S. Congress to revisit the MORE Act and vote in favor of it.

I believe we, as a People, are the stewards of our planet and should do what we can to keep the earth clean and safe. We should do everything we can to have clean air, water and resources to sustain a good quality of life. We should be respectful of wildlife and nature preserves. If elected, as a member of Congress, I will endorse pro-climate bills to influence positive change around our planet without increasing taxes on the American People.

Our southern border has not been properly secure for decades. The system for entering the U.S. is archaic and outdated. We need to add more entry-check points to reduce the bottle neck of traffic while at the same time update/streamline the processing system to make it easier for migrant workers to come into the U.S. legally. The process now is too cumbersome and outdated. We need more immigration judges to process the case load in a timely manner. Separate from the act of crossing the border illegally to work, violent illegal criminals should be dealt with harshly and not let out on bail until their case has been adjudicated. Border Security and the immigration issue should not be complicated, but they are due to the broken two-party system where politics interferes with commen sense.

When I talk with the people and listen to what they care about, I discover they all have a common thread- loss of freedoms, too much taxation and making ends meet is getting harder. We are a generous Nation, but too many Rules & Regulations even curtail a person’s ability to help others. If we look at the Justice Department, there are at least 3,000 criminal offenses on the books. There are over 20,000 federal laws & amendments. Most of our congressional members seem confused. That’s understandable under the weight of the bloated bureaucracy. We need to reverse much of this nonsense. Rolling back the restrictive rules is what the voters want. Fuel prices are too high. The federal government should not make laws preventing people from making decisions for themselves when he/she is not hurting others. I am a proud American. I respect the U.S. Constitution including Article 4 and the 10th Amendment regarding States’ rights. The People want to keep their right to speak freely, worship, and peacefully assemble without interference. No Trespassing. The good citizens of this land have the right to keep and bear Arms. Period.
