In California we no longer feel safe in our neighborhoods or on our streets. Much of this anxiety is attributed to our laws not being enforced. As a member of Congress, I will advocate for:
- Withholding Federal dollars going to cities who enforce sanctuary city policies that prevent the deportation of criminals who are here illegally.
- Removing Federal Highway Funds from any state that continues to issue commercial driver’s licenses to anyone who cannot read English and obey traffic laws.
- Restricting Red China from buying American farmland near our military bases.
- Opposing local policies that limit our Second Amendment Rights
- Supporting legislation that targets bigotry against Christians, Jews and others

California’s economy is being strangled by excessive regulations and wasteful spending. Our current Silicon Valley Congressional Representatives have been complicit in “looking the other way” when solutions were offered. As a member of Congress, I will work with other common-sense representatives to:
- End waste, fraud and abuse such as Congressman Kiely modeled when he introduced a bill in January to DEFUND the High-Speed Rail Project after California spent $15 Billion in Federal Funds without laying one mile of track.
- Lower the cost of water to farmers by reforming the Federal Environmental Species Act and by increasing water storage capacity. This will make food more affordable for every consumer.
- Make energy more affordable by removing restrictions on drilling for oil and building refineries in California.
- Reduce the cost of housing in California by: Banning large financial institutions from buying single-family homes; Enabling Baby Boomers to sell their homes by shielding them from capital gains tax; and much more.
- Reforming the HB-1 Visa program to favor the hiring of Americans over foreigners.

This year America celebrates our 250th anniversary. We need to start TODAY to ensure that our children live in a country where they can grow and thrive. We must:
- Stop the flow of drugs and narcotics into our country that is poisoning and killing our youth.
- Enact Federal policies to protect parental rights and enable parents to send their children to their school of choice.
- Provide opportunities for all children to explore vocational training.
- Provide Federal Funding only to schools that adopt curriculum focused on basic skills (reading writing and math) and provide a fair and balanced teaching of American history.
- Set up saving accounts for school-aged children giving them a stake in the success of the US.

- Raising children is the responsibility of parents who choose what values their children are taught in school.
- Free and fair elections.
- Affordability: Enact policies that reduce prices.
- Federal and state governments make every effort to cut waste and fraud of tax-payer dollars.
- Americans have the right to feel safe in their communities and protected from criminals.

Common Sense demands that parents have the right to ensure that their children are educated in a way that respects the family’s values including:
- School Vouchers to choose the right school/curriculum.
- Total transparency to any health or emotional issues identified by the school.
- Parental approval for extra-curricular instruction or activities their child is to engage in.

Common Sense demands that only US Citizens are enabled to vote in our elections. This requires that:
- Our voter rolls are cleaned up.
- Congress passes the SAVE AMERICA ACT requiring proof of citizenship and in person voter registration.
- Implementation of same day voting with paper ballots and photo ID
- Prioritizing protection of our voting system from Cyber threats and hacking of our elections by China and other bad actors.

Common Sense demands that Congress use the power-of-the purse to make the life of Californians more affordable. For example:
- With 35% of the California state budget coming from the Federal Government, leverage can be applied to cut excessive regulations that raise our costs.
- Demand smart water management (building dams and reservoirs) that will lower the cost of water to our farmers while at the same time preventing flooding.
- Drilling for oil on federal lands in an environmentally safe way to cut the cost of energy. Currently California imports oil although we have untapped resources. There are no oil pipelines coming into California from the rest of the country which puts our state at risk.
- Reduce the Federal capital gains tax for Californians that sell their primary residence. Currently the exception is: $500,000 for couples filing jointly and $250,000 for singles. The Federal government can change the exemption to $1,000,000 for couples filing jointly on the sale of their primary residence and $250,000 for singles.
- Prioritize the hiring of Americans over others in the use of the HB-1 Visa program.

Common Sense calls for the Federal Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate the waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer dollars. The California State Auditor’s report improper payments across many state agencies exceeding $76.5 billion. The response of Gov Newsom and our state legislators is to pass the Nick Shirley Act making it illegal to expose wasting of taxpayer dollars!
- Investigation by the DOJ should encourage the state government to get serious about cutting its spending and eliminating fraud.

Common Sense calls for citizens to feel safe in their communities which is accomplished by:
- Enforcement of our existing laws.
- Deportation of criminals who are here illegally.
- The elimination of issuing commercial driver’s licenses to people here illegally who can NEITHER speak English nor read road signs.
- Making it easier for citizens to access their right to bear arms.
